30 Weeks (a few days late)

30 weeks + 2 days

• I'm loving the new haircut!
• Things were going pretty well until last Friday, when I got a sore throat, runny nose and a cough. It's just a cold, but not being able to take much medicine for it hasn't been fun. For the most part I've just been staying at home in my pj's and Levi has been wonderful as always, helping around the house and snuggling with me. :)
• At my 30 week appointment my midwife told me that the baby has an enlarged right kidney. This was found on my targeted ultrasound a few weeks ago (I don't know why I just found out about it, but oh well).  I'm going in tomorrow for another ultrasound to check it out again. My MW said it probably won't be a big deal, but hopefully everything is okay!
• My uterus measuring 2 cm (a.k.a. 2 weeks) big. My midwife didn't want to change my due date though, since measurements within 2 cm either way are normal. It'll be interesting to see if I keep measuring big and end up delivering early. (Early deliveries...actually MOST deliveries...don't happen in my family without Pitocin.) Levi would be ECSTATIC if I had this baby in 2011!
• Our trip to Utah was wonderful! I read somewhere to not underestimate others' generosity when it comes to baby gifts, and our families were no exception to this rule! We've got most of the essentials now, and are slowly buying the rest of the things off our registry. I'm feeling much better about being prepared for this baby to come now!
